High Temperatures will reduce the life of your HVAC
With many parts of the country experiencing, it is important to recognize that the resulting stress being placed on your HVAC is going to reduce its useful life. Per The Wall Street Journal:
During very high temperatures, air conditioners’ components have to work harder to keep that cooling cycle going. Lennox estimates that when the temperature rises five degrees above the summer average, it causes air conditioning to run 17% longer and reduces the life of the equipment by the same percentage.1
HVAC units come with standard internal temperature operating set points, any temperatures that occur above those set points will cause the air conditioner to work harder and lose capacity. For example, An HVAC unit rated for 95°F degrees will lose cooling capacity & increase stress on its components for every degree it experiences above 95°F.
Installing Peak+ technology on your HVAC System will ensure that you will not lose cooling capacity or degrade the useful life of your equipment on hot days.
