Why did Evaporcool rebrand to Peak+ ?

Evaporcool was transitioning from purely a technology developer to an all-encompassing energy partner, dedicated to helping our customers make the right decisions on how to reduce their electric bills, prolong the life of their HVAC equipment and meet their sustainability goals.

Since the founding of Evaporcool (now PEAK+) in 2005, our company strove to become the market leaders for adiabatic pre-cooling in the United States. By understanding the lessons learned from the last several decades of the HVAC industry, Evaporcool created a unique technology that delivered the energy savings and system benefits that was promised. In 2015, Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest electric utilities serving Los Angeles County, selected the Evaporcool adiabatic pre-cooling system as their premiere HVAC energy efficiency technology. Our contract with Southern California Edison (SCE) enabled us to reduce 20 megawatts of electric demand in the SCE service territory. Evaporcool fulfilled the energy contract by installing our adiabatic pre-cooling technology on nearly 150 commercial and industrial buildings across the greater Los Angeles, California area. The success of this contract with Southern California Edison (SCE) helped establish the adiabatic pre-cooling industry in the United States, as well as authenticate Evaporcool as the premiere leader of the technology.

Over the last several years, we have worked on numerous projects with building owners, professional engineers, and HVAC OEMs like Trane, Carrier, and Daikin, which made us realize we were doing more than simply selling a technology. We were helping our customers understand exactly how their HVAC system operated and ways it could be optimized. We were helping our customers understand how they were being billed by their electric utilities and why reducing their peak energy demand would make a significant impact. We were saving customers enough money with our technology to essentially pay off the entire cost of their new air-cooled HVAC units, allowing for an increased NOI and ability to budget in other building improvements.


Evaporcool was transitioning from purely a technology developer to an all-encompassing energy partner, dedicated to helping our customers make the right decisions on how to reduce their electric bills, prolong the life of their HVAC equipment and meet their sustainability goals.  In 2020, Evaporcool made the decision to rebrand to PEAK+ to acknowledge our growing capabilities.  We strive to provide a dynamic and trusted partnership for our customers rather than simply selling our equipment and technology. We are dedicated to the success of the project and fulfilling the customer’s energy saving goals. In addition to being a entrusted energy advisor, we are working to both develop and bring on new technologies that help our customers optimize overall building performance. 

Our name, PEAK+, connotates leadership, partnership, simplicity, and growth. Whether our customer is a building owner or electric utilities, PEAK+ is an acknowledgement that our customers need to reduce their peak electric demand in order to achieve the greatest savings. PEAK+ has a proven past of fulfilling our customers goals and we continue to strive for peak performance in the future.
